Excerpt:
Hell wouldn’t have seemed like a bad proposition to the asshole lying in the stagnant, garbage-strewn water had he known he was dealing with monsters.
“Oh, God, please!” Boots scraped asphalt in the alley as the jerk tried to scoot away.
“Aww, hell no.” Looming over six feet tall, Court grabbed the miscreant’s shirt collar and shoved his face into the slimy puddle beside the dumpster. Straddling the bloodied man, he asked, “You did not just take the Lord’s name in vain?”
“Let him go, man.” Not only was Harm late checking in with a very important client, he was tired, hungry and cold. Changing, covering his body in fur, would solve the latter, but it was too late. Why did they have to run into this son of a bitch manhandling his girlfriend? The woman silently huddled in the dimly lit corner of their apartment building. A few minutes earlier, a few later, this sordid situation would have gone unnoticed. “He’s a coward. I don’t think he’ll come back around here.” Harm strode over, took hold of the man and snatched him to his feet. “Am I right?”
“You can have the bitch, please, just let me go.”
“Jackass, you said one word too many.” Harm drew back and cold-cocked the bastard. Lifting him high, he told Court, “Open the dumpster. He can go out with tomorrow’s trash.” The unconscious body bumped loudly on the bottom where he’d be found in the morning by sanitation workers.
“Hey, stop, don’t put him in there!”
Turning in unison, the brothers gaped. Court spoke up. “Lady, your boyfriend was getting ready to seriously kick your ass.”
Belongings from her purse lay scattered on the pavement. Watching her stoop down to collect them, Harm’s head tilted quizzically. “Are you kidding?” She couldn’t possibly be upset at how they handled the creep.
“First off, he’s not my boyfriend. The dirty rotten sucker stole my wallet with my credit cards and money. It’s in his back pocket.” Straightening, she glared angrily in the direction of the trash container. “You arrived in time to prevent anything else.”
“Glad we could help.” Harm twisted toward Court. “Get the wallet.”
“You think I’m climbing into that stink hole?” Court’s hands dusted his still immaculate jacket, brushed at his pants and pinched the razor-sharp crease. “Brother, you’ve lost your goddamn mind.”
“Jesus Christ, get the wallet.”
“I’m not getting in there, Harm. No way.”
“Oh hell, both of you shut the fuck up.” Short legs ate up the distance from the wall to the dumpster. “And you’re both blasphemous idiots. Talk about taking the Lord’s name in vain. I’ll get it myself.”
Before Harm could move, she’d grabbed the container’s lip and hiked a luscious, petite body over the edge. His jaw dropped and he glared at Court. “She just jumped in the trash.”
“Good, because I wasn’t going in there.”
They spun toward the dumpster when they heard a loud smack. “Take my fucking wallet?” Another crack. “I’ll teach your sorry ass some manners.”
Court chuckled. “Damn, she’s vicious. He’s lucky we came along.”
Harm stood rooted to the spot in disbelief. He liked this spitfire. His shepherd was on the prowl, pawing and panting. He liked her too! Sniffing loudly, he picked her scent from the stench wafting through the air. Sweet.
Thinking about getting to know her better caused his cock to swell and jerk in his pants. Slender fingers appeared on the edge and Harm took hold to help hoist the woman over the side. Feet had barely touched the ground before she pulled one hand free and pushed a wave of dark hair back. Lifting Harm’s other hand to her nose, she sniffed loudly. Fuck. Something a dog would do and the action yanked his cock to full attention.
“His balls will hurt for a week.” Hearty male laughter bounced from walls of the alley, putting a smug smile on her pretty face. “I was ready to kick his nuts to hell and back when you turned the corner.” Purse in hand, she walked away and glanced over her shoulder. It was as if Court didn’t exist when her eyes nailed Harm to the spot he stood in. “It’s good to know chivalry’s not dead.” She disappeared around the corner.
“What the fuck was that?” Court continued to laugh. “I believe she would have taken him out.”
Harm wanted to chase after her but his feet wouldn’t move. Watching her plump little ass twitch away stirred something raw and natural in his gut, causing his shepherd to react by immobilizing Harm in his path.
“Well, I’ll be a son of a bitch.” Court’s head fell back and he roared, laughing until he choked. “Your dog got you by the balls.”
“Go to hell.” Her scent dissipated and Harm’s shepherd released him. Swiping his knees futilely in an attempt to remove a smudge of dirt, he glared at his brother. “Shut up before I bite you in the nuts.” Looking back toward the main street, he sniffed the air again. “Very, very sweet.” Harm needed to check in with a client and was already late. He didn’t want the customer contacting the office and complaining. Max had left him in charge. “Last thing I need is Ren and Wade sniping at my ass for not handling business.”
The Alsatians could be real sons of bitches. Well aware Harm would one day be alpha of their pack, they continued to treat him as if he was a pup in training. Max occasionally acted as a buffer but he’d gone with Harm’s sister, Victoria, on a working honeymoon somewhere in Africa with hopes of turning up information on the Germaine family as well as the shepherds.
“You ordering or asking?” Court stared at him.
“I’m asking, my brother.”
“Right answer. But I’m not leaving my clothes in this stink hole.” Court’s chest swelled with air. “Won’t be hard to pick up her scent.” His brother undressed and folded each item meticulously over Harm’s arm. Glancing sideways, he asked, “When are you going to kick those fucker’s asses? Men can afford to be diplomatic, Harm, but we’re animals.”
His mother suffered through hours of labor to give birth to Victoria as a woman. Afterward, no longer able to stand the pain, she changed into a shepherd and whelped Harm and Court. Though most of his life had been spent locked inside his animal, Harm didn’t think of himself as genetically fucked up. Hell, he embraced the ability to morph at a moment’s notice from dog to man, or vice versa. The Austrian monk who had experimented with mixing his DNA with an animal’s created something wonderful in his estimation. Not only did they live longer, they were stronger, wiser, in either body. As far as Harm was concerned, both worlds had distinctly wonderful advantages.

Locker's Fall

I missed Caturday! Enjoy...

LOCKER'S FALL

Loneliness is a great equalizer.

Locker can masquerade as anything including animals on land and, his favorite place, the ocean. His residence beneath a mountain protected by a waterfall has been home for a few years. Unable to leave, he controls the local pride of lion shifters with fear. Then he finds her—a mythical white lioness.

Lonely and harassed by her pride, Silk seeks solace at forbidden Locker Falls. Coerced to the dangerous waters, she’s swallowed by a whirlpool and carried into the arms of a creature so old, he’s seen the dawn of time. Lock uses magic to read her mind, will he use it to steal her heart?

Sharing one lifetime will not be enough.

Excerpt:
Coming to in a cool, dark cave, Silk sat up on a soft covering separating her from dirt. She scented the fur used to belong to a bear. Remaining in her skin because she wanted to keep her fur, Silk allowed her cat’s eyes to check the space. Air wheezed from her throat after hearing fingers snap and a torch blare to life in a corner behind a… A man! He stood between her and light making it difficult to see who lit it or exactly what…
“The bear was killed by one of your kind before I relieved him of his fur.”
Oh, Christ, he read my mind! “Did you harm them?”
“Those who killed the bear?” He reached and removed the torch from its holder. “I would have if they had ended his life for sport.” Silk watched broad shoulders shrug. “I understand both of your hungers.”
“Are you going to kill me?”
“Why would I do that, Silk?” He brought the torch in front of himself.
For the love of God! A man so beautiful, her heart skipped a beat. Black hair hung in waves around his shoulders and the same color dusted his jaw. Ocean blue eyes glinted beneath the torch’s light as drops of water dripped over an abdomen rife with muscle. Nothing more than a strip of material covered his loins. Long, long legs held thick, taut thighs and calves that appeared very useful for swimming. “Why am I here?”
“Would you prefer to have drowned in my pool?”
“Your pool?” Anger toward the selfish being took root in her chest. “That river runs through my pride’s compound.”
“So?”
“Excuse me? Wait, since you know my name, shouldn’t I know yours?”
“Let me explain. Your kind have a whole river to mess about in.” He stepped closer and his scent circled her head clouding it with confusion. The man smelled of fresh, clean water as if…as if it had just rained. “I’m Locker.”
“You stay right there, Locker.” Explained why cats came to saying that word. How in hell would she keep this being from her mind?
“I’ve returned your people to shore more often than I care to and I assumed all learned a lesson.” Soft laughter echoed around her. “You did not as you’ve been here before.”
Silk noticed him raise his head slightly and snuffle air. “Does that mean you aren’t going to return me?”
“I’m not sure yet.”
“You…you… You’re a bastard.” Silk stood and let fur cover her body. As her lion, she’d be larger, stronger and possibly more capable of fighting this monster. When her big paws slammed to the cave floor with a thud, she knew she had Locker’s attention except Silk wasn’t sure it was the kind of awareness she sought.
His aroma grew stronger before he said, “I think I’ll keep you… For a while.”

Can't Touch This

You CAN touch this! The re-release of CAN'T TOUCH THIS is now available!

Rich alpha wolf shifter Castle Briggs can have any woman he wants with just the crook of his finger. Until he meets a human named Harlow Hardison. She makes it clear she’s had it with rich, overconfident jerks trying to own her. All she wants is a no-strings-attached good time with a man who isn’t afraid of her darker urges. Castle’s happy to dominate her in his special playroom, but he wants more than a kinky fling. He’s going to have to do a lot more than crook his finger to get past Harlow’s fears and make her his forever.

He won’t do anything she hasn’t already dreamed!

Excerpt:
The base of her spine thrummed to life, butterflies took flight in her stomach, and her breathing kicked up a notch the instant the one called Castle found her. With his hand placed low on her back again, he drew tiny circles with his fingertips as he whispered in her ear, “I’d find you in the eye of a hurricane, darlin’.”

“You should take your friend’s advice and seek one of the interested twenty.” Why in hell had she remembered those words? Lord, he was gorgeous and something snapped inside when he traced up her spine to the back of her neck. It was a feeling Harlow didn’t dare turn over in her mind and look at. Not yet.

“You’re interested.” He tilted her chin up and peered in her eyes while his free hand began an unhurried descent back to the tingling spot above her butt. “I smell it.”

“Mr. Briggs—”

“The formalities are over, honey.” He released Harlow but not before kissing her hard, long—and it shattered her goddamn world. “I’ll give you some time.”

The arrogant bastard walked away and left Harlow sitting there, mouth open and heart banging against her ribcage. “Time for what?” The words were lost among music and laughter in the club, which teemed with more beautiful people than she’d ever seen gathered in one place. She thought about leaving but decided not to let the night be a waste, nor to allow him to think he’d run her off. She would at least eat something before heading home. Signaling a server, Harlow placed an order and settled in to enjoy the atmosphere. Her salad arrived and she ate as much as she could.

She was ready for her second and last shot of gin when the bartender magically placed one in front of her. “Compliments, ma’am.”

She glanced past the server and spied Castle talking to a young woman who draped herself over his body. When she wrapped arms around his neck, he untangled them and eased her away. The downturn her lips took irritated Harlow. Why did women do that to themselves? Her mother had taught her to let the man take the lead, allow him to feel as though he’d laid claim, and then if you want him, grab hold with both hands and show the world he’s yours. Sliding the drink away, she told the bartender, “Tell the sender I’m not interested then bring my bill, please.” Her mother didn’t enlighten her on how to tell a man about her uncommon desires, desires most considered abnormal. Harlow’s marriage was proof the theory on letting a man take the lead did not work. Harlow yearned for a man who could…

“It’s paid.”

Harsh words tumbled through her lips at his untimely interruption. “I said get my bill.” A flush of heat suffused her cheeks when Harlow realized she continued to stare at the man across the bar.

“There’s no charge, ma’am.” He glanced over his shoulder and she assumed he looked at Castle Briggs.

Getting up, she skirted stools until she stood patiently waiting as another woman settled in Brigg’s lap. “How much do I owe you?”

“Excuse me?”

“Evidently you’re the owner since you parked in the reserved for owner spot.”

“So?”

“You’re all alike. You have money and you think you can do whatever you want.” Lord, why couldn’t she leave it alone. “What did my dinner cost?”

“Since I didn’t buy it, I couldn’t say.” Anger flashed in his eyes before he scoured the room. He motioned for the bartender who leaned over and whispered in Castle’s ear. He returned his attention to Harlow. “It’s on the house, and my apologies, it won’t happen again.”

Now she felt stupid as she wondered where the drink and money for her meal came from. All she could do was mumble, “Sorry,” before she turned to leave.

“Wait.”

“For what?” Lord, why the heck did she snap? Sweat gathered on Harlow’s back, eliciting a shiver beneath the overhead fan as she stared at Castle.

“Hatch?”

His friend sat with a blonde at a table across the aisle from the barstool Castle occupied. “Yeah, boss?”

“Make sure Ms. Hardison gets home safely.”

“I can take care of myself.”

A sardonic smile lifted one corner of his mouth. “I’ll take better care of you.”

“You can’t touch me.” A whole host of female patrons, including the one wiggling between his thighs looked as if they would scratch her eyes out and Harlow glared back giving as good as she got. “You have enough company.” She didn’t contemplate why that bothered her.

“Pull the claws in, I only want yours tonight.”

Why she felt pity for the women surrounding him Harlow couldn’t say, but damn if she was walking out without letting him know just what a lowlife cad she considered him. Why did she even care who came on to the bastard? She wouldn’t become one of them. It dawned on her it was exactly what she wanted, and it angered her, goaded her into acting unreasonable. Harlow flashed her brightest smile and enjoyed the fact his eyes reflected the idea he thought he had won. “It must be horrible to search for such a tiny prick every time you have to pee.”

“What the fuck did you say?”

“Surely a man with balls and a cock wouldn’t have to surround himself with so many adoring fans.”

A hush fell over the room.

SEE PREMIER TRAILER (on this page) BLURB: An irreverent poke into the world of Women’s Erotica. Purple P. Rose is a brash private investigator. Her latest case has her visiting the city’s seediest nightspot, the Mons Venus, with partner and boyfriend, Richard E. Rection. Their new case is full of surprises -- especially when Dick “discovers” he’s bisexual. They are both unaware there’s a new and slightly sinister being in town -- Peter Hard, a vampyre who enjoys the taste of women and men alike. He’s chosen Purple to be his. Ready to claim her, he uses his powers to coerce Dick to bring him in as a partner. Their lives will never be the same again. We kinda doubt yours will, either. EXCERPT: One point of view… It was the crack of dawn. Purple P. Rose woke up with a hairy one in her face -- Boyd’s ass. Shit, had she had too much to drink? She couldn’t think straight. Everything was askew -- even the view out of her ritzy loft’s window. The trees appeared to bow and wave at her as she listened to the shower run in her bathroom. What the hell had happened last night? Something about the new guy. She looked back at Boyd, who still slept peacefully. Purp gazed across the park and tried to remember. She did have some memories intact -- the worst being her partner Dick. She thought he’d gone soft. Maybe not. She shook her head to clear the clouds of confusion. Richard E. Rection was a real son of a bitch known as Dick to his friends. Purp found she’d rather have no one else back her up in a tight spot. He’d done that last night. Warmth crept down her thighs as she turned over the pictures in her mind of what she could remember. She’d seen a new side of Dick. Flashes came to her in living color. They’d checked out the club Mons Venus, a cheap strip joint on the Westside, as planned. The girls there were known to go all the way with customers. So, needless to say, the place stayed full. Every nut-sac in town turned up at Mons Venus. Purp and Dick had met there last night to interview a bartender involved in their latest case. It wasn’t their usual type of job, but she’d taken it for the money. Car repairs had left her flat broke, and it was the first of the month, which came too fast lately. Her real problem -- so did Dick. Now she remembered. He’d been the first to interview the bartender in question. Dick then disappeared with him to a room behind the stage. After he’d left, Purp ordered her second gin and tonic. She’d decided to enjoy the show. The girl on stage had hair the color of a magnificent western sunset. The bush between her thighs carried the same flaming color. Red knew the pole she used intimately. Purp’s panties were soon full of morning dew. But it was nighttime and she wanted to be full of something else. A hefty dick, a sliver of tongue, it didn’t matter. Anything would do the job right now. A tremor of premonition lanced through her. She studied the other patrons. As she looked around, her eyes lit on a dark corner table. Someone stared back at her from the table there. She could make out the outline of a body. Male. Smoke wafted around him, obscuring his face. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach, and her pussy clenched on itself. Who was he and why was he watching her? It wasn’t the first time she’d had the feeling lately. Shit, just what she needed -- the witchy stuff following her around. Purp shook it off and felt her side for the gun holstered there. The wave of raw lust that slammed into her left her weak. Between her thighs, her cunt pulsed. She went through life horny, but what hit her now was hell. Dick hadn’t returned, so Purp went to find him. What she found didn’t shock her. Not much did nowadays. She’d opened the door to the room where she heard thumping and bumping inside, and found him in a big wingback chair with his pants around his ankles and the bartender’s face buried between his muscular Adonis-like thighs. Purp had never seen Dick in this light. Hmm. “Purp --”
