An act of kindness can change your life--forever
Griffin Hayes knew what Jenna Sahara was and he didn’t care. So what if she was a member of the Kind? She took his breath away. And his passion for her knew no bounds.
A vampyre infected lioness from the Sovereign Kind, Jenna has never been so drawn to any man more than the mortal Griffin. And he’s fated to be her true mate. Consumed by sadness because she is different, Jenna is determined to have Griffin in her life no matter what.
First she’ll have to save him from her family who holds the power of life and death over him.
Excerpt:
As he reached for his keys, the front bell chimed. He opened his door and standing on his porch was one of the most handsome men he’d ever seen. His gut told him he was one of the Kind. Probably one of the Reign warriors.
These cats were into hair. No wonder no one showed shock at his almost shoulder length locks. They probably wondered where the rest of his was. But what real man dyed blond streaks in his hair? Weird as hell.
“Marcus sent us over to install an alarm system. My name’s Jag.”
“Uhh, I have to leave, can you do this later?” A shiver ran up his spine. He didn’t know these people. Arguing with a vampyre cat was probably not a good idea.
Jag said, “Not to worry, man, we’ll be done and gone before you get back. Marcus said do it today.”
Griff leaned to the side and saw no one. The guy said “us and we”. He couldn’t see anybody else. The big bush under the window rustled and there was a high pitched squeal. He stepped further out the door. A rabbit shot from beneath the limbs like a bullet.
A growl, low and vicious, was followed by a large spotted cat tearing off behind the small creature.
Jag stepped by him into the house and looked back toward the yard. His lips curled in a snarl. “Leron will be here in a minute. He was hungry. Hope the rabbit’s enough.”
Griff swallowed hard as a drop of sweat trickled down his back. The roar of a cat filled the air.
Aww shit.
